Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for Economy, Dr Okonjo Iweala and Dr Andrew Pocock, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria would be attending the 2013 Creative Industry Awards.
Dr. Okonjo-Iweala will speak on “the lessons learnt from Funding Startups and growing companies in Nigeria,” while Dr. Andrew Pocock will speak on British-Nigerian Creative Business Environment.
The Creative Industry Awards in its 3rd year running will hold on Saturday, the 25th of January, 2014 at the British Council Gardens, 20 Thompson Drive, Ikoyi.
According to Wale Ewedemi, the Director General of the Creative Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria, the federal government’s support of entrepreneurs can be attested to through its various laudable projects and intervention in this drive. While expressing gratitude for such support he expresses hope that the symbiotic relationship will yield good results as entrepreneurs hold the key to any thriving economy.
The Award, organized by the Creative Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria rewards Initiative, Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship across the creative industries, recognizing the central role they play in the development of a competitive and sustainable creative economy. This Award has ‘14’ categories including the overall winner that will be declared the Creative Entrepreneur of the year 2013. full list of nominees below
